"Fairy" is a visual journey that unfolds through footage collected from 2015 to 2020 by the artist Sofia Mattioli and some of these animations. Within the work by Sofia, I contributed several animated and illustrated segments, that became integral threads in the fabric of the film. Within my segment, I birthed my own interpretation of a "fairy." This delicate, entrapped female stick figure becomes a symbol of transformation. Through acts of patience, nurture, and love, this character undergoes a metamorphosis, conveying the potential for growth and renewal found within every being.
The project's evolution was deeply intertwined with the mystical rhythms of the universe, as it was elaborated during every Mercury retrograde of the past five years. This cosmic alignment lent an ethereal quality to "Fairy," infusing it with an otherworldly essence.
